Assistant Management Accounts Manager

We are currently looking for an Assistant Management Accounts Manager to join our team in our Macclesfield office under a hybrid working arrangement. In this role, you’ll support the management accounts team by preparing accurate financial information to aid business decision-making, assisting in producing management reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis, helping to drive financial performance and control.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and detailed variance analysis
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Collaborate with operational teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
  • Assist in maintaining internal controls and ensuring compliance with accounting policies
  • Help coordinate audits and respond to audit queries
  • Support and mentor junior finance team members

Working pattern: Monday - Friday | Hybrid

What can you bring?

  • Experience in management accounting or financial reporting
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Relevant accounting qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CIMA) desirable
  • Proactive attitude and attention to detail
