FULL DESCRIPTION
Drivers Mate
Select Recruitment is looking for a Drivers Mate in Bury St Edmunds. This is a temporary to permanent role with a well-established company. Pay rate: £13.05 - £13.44 per hour, with overtime available at time and a half. Weekly pay.
What you'll be doing:
- Assisting with loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Manual handling of heavy goods during multi-drop deliveries
- Supporting the driver in completing daily delivery routes
- Checking goods upon delivery to ensure accuracy and quality
- Providing a professional and helpful service to customers
- Following all health & safety procedures and company guidelines
- Working as part of a team to meet daily delivery targets
Requirements:
- Must be physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
- Comfortable with early starts (5:00am)
- Good communication and team-working skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
