UX Manager

Role Responsibility

We are seeking a talented and experienced UX/UI Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating intuitive and visually appealing user experiences, driving the overall design strategy, and managing a team of UX/UI designers. As the UX/UI Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the user experience of our products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of usability and design.

Within month 1

  • Introduction to the team, our process, the [Employer hidden] brand, and our design philosophy
  • Collaborate with various product squads on your first projects, & begin planning future ones
  • Immerse yourself in our business processes and build an understanding of how our teams operate

Within 6 months

  • Work on underlying features that will directly affect the [Employer hidden] customer
  • Produce sketches, wireframes, high-hi designs, prototypes, & user flows etc.
  • Present designs for review and iterate through rounds of feedback
  • Optimise your work through user testing, user & stakeholder feedback, & exploration
  • Support & drive delivery of the product team strategy
  • Help refine our overall visual aesthetic, setting the standard for the rest of the team
  • Oversee planning within the UX team, using ways of working to improve team efficiencies & enable team member growth
  • Flesh out & begin to work towards your personal development plan

Within 12 months

  • A deep understanding of both the [Employer hidden] brand & the product team’s overall strategy
  • Drive a project from start to finish, managing stakeholders’ expectations & delivering to timelines
  • Share your experience with members of the team, coaching & mentoring on a regular basis
  • Take in & promote the wider product strategy, supporting the team to implement consistent design thinking across our product roadmap
  • Proactively troubleshoot UX issues on our digital platforms, & support in defining where they sit with the wider strategic objectives

  • Spearhead and inspire a team of UX/UI designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, encouraging professional growth and development.

Design Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive design strategy aligned with the overall business goals and user needs.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design principles to drive continuous improvement in design processes.

User Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct user research to understand user behaviours, needs, and pain points.
  • Study data and feedback to inform design choices and improve the overall user experience.

Prototyping and Wireframing:

  • Oversee the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and design mock-ups that effectively communicate the design vision.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and iterate on designs.

Usability Testing:

  • Plan and conduct usability testing to validate design choices and identify areas for improvement.
  • Utilize insights from testing to refine and enhance the user experience.

Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless integration of design into the development process.
  • Communicate design concepts and rationale effectively to diverse audiences.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure the highest quality standards in design deliverables, adhering to brand guidelines and design principles.
  • Conduct regular design reviews to maintain consistency and excellence across products.
