This feeling is no more profound than when it comes to our children’s care workers.  Working specifically with the young people that attend our educational and residential facilities, our children’s care workers see day-in-day-out how their effort and passion can positively impact the life of a child within their care. 

The Daily Roles of Children’s Care Workers

At its core, the role of a children’s care worker is to help young people, with autism, complex needs and learning disabilities, manage their daily activities and really make a difference. 

For some, this may simply mean helping them to dress and get ready for their day, while others need help getting to school and truly engaging with the educational opportunities put before them. 

The truth is, it may well be impossible to outline all that a children’s care worker does on a day-to-day basis; the role is often dependent on the needs of the child they support, and like every fast-paced job, it can change from day-to-day. 

The role of a children’s care worker can range from supporting a young person’s physical and emotional needs, to helping them further their independence and development.  These are each equally important aspects in the lives of a child with complex needs, helping to shape the overall life that the child will lead.
