Job Description

We are now recruiting for residential support workers to join our team! Apply today, and join our network of dedicated staff.

At [Employer hidden], we offer residential care and specialised education opportunities for young people and adults with complex needs. Many of our residents have been diagnosed with autism, learning disabilities and/or behaviours which challenge.

Our homes have been designed to accommodate a small number of residents with varied needs. Individualised bedrooms offer people the opportunity to personalise their space, while living spaces encourage residents to get to know their peers.

Each resident is assessed before receiving a personalised plan. These plans help to let every team member know what each person’s goals are, what they enjoy, what they need support with, and how best to provide their support in an individualised way.

Many of our homes are close to town centres and we encourage our residents to take the opportunity to engage with their community in a safe way. All of our work is tailored towards making sure those we care for are able to achieve their goals and live as independently as is possible.

The Residential Support Worker Role

We believe in creating environments for our residents that are homely, supportive and comfortable, in equal amounts. That’s why one of your key roles will be to ensure the home you work in is calm and happy.

Further requirements of this position include:

  • Contributing to the assessment, recording, and reporting of individual care plans according to our standards.
  • Maintaining good communication within the home and with external agencies.
  • Maintaining the existing record keeping systems, and contributing to reports for meetings where necessary.
  • Undertake sleep-in duties on a rotating basis.
  • Adhering to Bright Futures’ code of conduct at all times.
