Job Description

We’re currently looking for a skilled Cabinet Maker or Bench Joiner to join a well-established company in Didcot, renowned for producing high-quality bespoke furniture. If you take pride in your craftsmanship and enjoy working in a collaborative workshop environment, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

About the Role:

  • Produce bespoke furniture and joinery pieces according to detailed design specifications.
  • Confidently work with a range of hardwoods and softwoods, applying the appropriate finishes and treatments.
  • Use various woodworking machines and hand tools with precision and care.
  • Work closely with the design team to bring unique furniture concepts to life.
  • Keep your workspace clean, safe, and well-organised, following all health and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct quality checks and carry out any necessary repairs to maintain high standards.
  • Play an active role in supporting a positive, team-oriented workshop environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Bench Joiner or Cabinet Maker, ideally in a bespoke furniture setting.
  • Strong proficiency with woodworking tools and machinery.
  • A keen eye for detail and dedication to producing excellent work.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
  • Good problem-solving abilities and confidence working independently.
  • Knowledge of different timbers and their properties.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and able to manage time effectively.
  • A team player with strong communication skills.
  • Previous experience with custom or one-off projects is a plus.
