Job Description

Are you a strategic leader with a passion for technical excellence and complex problem-solving in the Healthcare Sector!

This sector leading studio is looking for an experienced Associate Architect to lead a flagship new-build healthcare project. Known for it's award-winning portfolio in Higher Education and Life Sciences, they provide a platform where design innovation meets technical rigor.

You will take the helm of a high-profile scheme, navigating intricate design challenges and managing a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a world-class facility.

As a Project Lead, you will be the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors. This is a "hands-on" leadership role where you will bridge the gap between visionary design and construction reality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership - Full project and team management from RIBA Stage 3 through to completion.
  • Stakeholder Management - Acting as the lead interface for clients, local authorities, and specialist consultants.
  • Technical Oversight - Overseeing the production of detailed drawing packages and resolving complex on-site issues.
  • Reporting & Communication - Producing and presenting high-level project reports and board-level updates.
  • Quality Assurance - Upholding our reputation for design excellence by ensuring every deliverable meets our rigorous internal standards.

Skills and Experience

  • Fully qualified ARB Architect with significant post-qualification experience.
  • A proven track record of job-running on large-scale, technically complex buildings (Life Sciences, Healthcare, or Research experience is highly advantageous).
  • An obsession with detail and a deep understanding of the RIBA stages, particularly the transition from design to delivery.
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills, with the gravitas to lead meetings and negotiate with contractors.
