Finance Manager

Job Description

Working closely with the Operations Director, this role is the financial backbone of this company who are working on sustainable and socially responsible projects. The Finance Manager will lead the financial health of the business overall, as well as provide deep insights into project viability, resource planning, and long-term forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily finances; invoicing, expenses, cash flow, and bank reconciliations
• Deliver monthly/annual financial reports and track against budgets
• Project support; track performance against budgets, assess site viability and build financial models to secure funding from banks
• Lead annual financial planning and budgets, reforecasting, and provide data for pricing and proposals
• Manage CIS returns, supplier checks, and coordinate with external accountants for audits and tax.
• Maintain and upgrade accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) to support business growth.

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in financial management, ideally within Architecture, Construction, or Professional Services
• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional experience
• Proficient in Xero/QuickBooks and advanced Excel.
• Familiarity with project management tools is a significant plus
• CIS, financial regulations, and project-based financial planning (fee proposals and resourcing)
• Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders
