Job Description

A well-established and design-focused engineering consultancy is looking for a Senior Bid Coordinator to take ownership of its tendering function. This is a pivotal role within the business, offering the opportunity to lead and shape high-quality bid submissions that directly contribute to winning work across the built environment sector.

Working at the heart of a collaborative and fast-paced team, you’ll combine strategic oversight with hands-on delivery—ensuring submissions are compelling, compliant, and consistently delivered to the highest standard. This role is ideal for a seasoned bid professional who thrives under pressure, enjoys managing complex processes, and has a genuine interest in construction, architecture, and design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end bid process, ensuring all submissions are delivered on time and to a high standard
  • Prepare, review, and edit bid documentation, maintaining accuracy, clarity, and strong visual presentation
  • Maintain organised and accessible bid records, ensuring robust information management systems
  • Collaborate with technical and design teams to gather content and ensure alignment with client requirements
  • Manage multiple deadlines and priorities, balancing reactive tenders with planned submissions

Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience in bid writing/coordination within the construction, engineering, architecture or related sectors
  • Strong interest in the built environment, including construction and architecture
  • Excellent written communication skills, with outstanding attention to spelling, grammar, and tone
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organised, with strong time management and problem-solving abilities
  • Confident working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
