The Works
As a New Openings Bar Manager, you will take ownership of the bar operation across new venue launches, ensuring every detail is set up for success , from stock and systems to training and service delivery.
Working as part of the openings team, you’ll lead from the front to create energy, theatre and a strong bar culture, building confident teams that deliver exceptional guest experiences from day one.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where no two openings are the same, ideal for someone who thrives on variety, pace and making an impact.
In this role, you’ll:
- Take ownership of bar set ups during pre-opening, ensuring readiness across product, systems and service
- Lead and deliver structured bar training, including cocktails, service style and product knowledge
- Build, coach and develop bar teams to deliver confident, consistent performance
- Drive sales and performance through strong bar leadership and commercial awareness
- Manage stock, ordering and controls to deliver against GP and operational targets
- Create atmosphere, energy and theatre behind the bar and across the venue
- Maintain high standards in quality, service, safety and compliance
- Adapt quickly across different venues, teams and operational challenges
- Support newly acquired venues, helping stabilise bar operations and introduce [Employer hidden] standards
- Embed bar standards and team capability post-opening to ensure long-term success
You Are
- An experienced Bar Manager or senior bar leader within a high-volume environment
- Confident in cocktails, drinks service and leading from the front
- A natural trainer and coach who builds strong, capable teams
- Commercially aware, with experience managing stock, GP and performance
- Adaptable, organised and thrives in fast-paced, changing environments
- Calm under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills
- Hands-on, energetic and passionate about delivering great hospitality
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role
