Principal Software Engineer

About the Role

Lead the maintenance, extension and feature development across all facets of our software’s backend, with the opportunity to work on all layers of the application, including AWS infrastructure. Architect and implement new software solutions, leading the overall structural design and fostering engineering best practice within a small team. Collaborate closely with our design, front-end, and client-facing teams. Provide technical guidance and leadership to Huguenots’ growing backend team.

Who you are

• You have 10+ years’ experience in professional Python development, with at least 5 years of experience working with Django specifically
• Mastery of the full product development life cycle
• Proven experience tackling and, where necessary delegating, large, complex tasks, whilst maintaining a keen eye for detail
• A confident and positive communication style with an ability to guide and inspire more junior team members
