Location: Manchester
Work Type: Hybrid
Job Type: Full-time
Experience Level: Mid-Senior level
Salary: Salary not provided
About the Role
You’ll be joining our dynamic data function, sitting at the intersection of technical engineering and actionable business intelligence. We’re the minds behind the metrics, responsible for architecting the robust data pipelines that fuel our clients' growth and performance.
We stay curious by constantly exploring new technologies and get stuck in by collaborating closely with our strategy, development, and marketing teams to turn raw data into transparent, high-impact insights. If you love the challenge of clean data and delivering the evidence that proves client success, you'll fit right in
As our Data & Analytics Manager, you will be the go-to expert for tracking user behaviour, measuring campaign performance, and building insightful, client-facing dashboards. You’ll live and breathe front-end tracking and marketing analytics, ensuring our clients have the technical foundations to make smarter business decisions
What the job involves
- End-to-End Tracking: Implement, audit, and manage complex Google Tag Manager (GTM) setups across multiple high-value client websites to support accurate data collection
- Web Analytics Mastery: Configure and maintain GA4 properties, ensuring every behavioral, conversion, and marketing event is captured with precision
- Compelling Visualisation: Design, build, and maintain clear, actionable dashboards in Looker Studio and Power BI that translate raw numbers into meaningful stories
- Marketing Collaboration: Partner with digital marketing teams to ensure tracking aligns with campaign goals and directly supports ROI
- Data Privacy & Governance: Ensure tracking compliance by managing consent tracking, Cookie Consent Mode v2, and adherence to data privacy best practices like GDPR
- Technical Foundations: While your heart is in the front-end, you’ll help oversee the flow of data into warehousing (like BigQuery) to ensure reliable reporting pipelines
- Stakeholder Ownership: Translate complex data concepts into clear requirements and insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Who you are
- Commercially minded, technically sharp, and naturally curious about how data drives human behaviour
- Visualisation Skills: Proven experience using Looker Studio and Power BI to build high-impact reports
- Technical Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with Google Tag Manager and administering Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
- A Compliance Mindset: A clear understanding of data privacy and experience managing cookie consent platforms like OneTrust or Cookiebot
- Broad Horizons: While focusing on the front-end, a beneficial understanding of SQL and data warehousing (e.g., BigQuery) will help you see the bigger picture
- Problem-Solving Energy: An adaptable and detail-oriented mindset, capable of debugging tracking issues and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Collaborative Spirit: A proactive approach to working with cross-functional teams, from developers to growth specialists, to get to the best possible solution
We’re challenging the 'Gender Confidence Gap,' which suggests that individuals will only apply for a job if they meet 100% of the criteria. Some of our best hires didn’t check every box in the role description, so if you were about to rule yourself out, we still encourage you to apply!
Application process
We’ve designed our process with you in mind. This is as much an opportunity for you to make sure [Employer hidden] is right for you as you are for us
- Screening Stage - A 30-minute exploratory call with our Talent Team. A chance to explore the role and responsibilities
- 2nd Stage - A video interview with our CTO. We’ll probe around your commercial experience and approach to client relationships
- 3rd Stage - A face to face interview with our CTO and a member of the Data team. We don’t do technical tests but love to geek out on some technical questions and dive deeper into your experience
- Offer - If we think it’s a good fit, we’ll make you an offer!
