Consulting Engineer

Salary: £35.7k - £43k OTE

Work Type: Hybrid (2-3 days a week in office)

Who you are

A degree in any discipline (preferably STEM based)
A problem solver with technical know how
Programming/Automation (Vision Experience) preferable but not essential
Some experience in teaching/training/public speaking
Excellent communication skills
A full UK driving licence
Eligibility to work in the UK by 1st July 2026

What the job involves

2 Office Days based out of our Birmingham office
3 Field Days, with travel expected throughout UK and Ireland depending on business needs
Collaborate with Sales Team to qualify customer requirements and create technical proposals
Provide technical consultancy to customers pre and post sales including demonstrations, proofs of concept and pilot projects
Troubleshoot technical enquiries and, where necessary, lead onsite support and handover to internal teams
Manage a portfolio of existing clients, ensuring excellent customer service and strong relationships by technical approach
Support new business activities including customer research, outreach and qualifying leads in collaboration with sales colleagues
Testing difficult application with Sales Engineer and prepare client proposals, presentations and training tailored to customer needs
