About the Role

As a Cloud Platform Engineer you will build and run the platform foundations that power [Employer hidden]’s product and customer deployments. You will own the Cloud infrastructure, controls, CI/CD pipelines, and operational guardrails that enable fast, safe product delivery. You will strengthen reliability, observability, and incident response. You will make the developer experience faster and calmer. You will raise the security baseline through DevSecOps practices and automation. This is a hands-on role in a seed-stage company. You will ship meaningful platform improvements continuously and you will influence engineering velocity and customer trust directly.

Platform Engineering and cloud operations:

  • Build, maintain, and evolve [Employer hidden]’s cloud infrastructure across Azure, with strong working knowledge of AWS and GCP
  • Deliver secure, repeatable environments for development, staging, and production
  • Design for reliability, scalability, and cost discipline, with clear SLOs and pragmatic capacity planning

Infrastructure as code:

  • Own Terraform patterns, modules, and workflows that standardise how infrastructure is defined, reviewed and deployed
  • Drive safe change management through versioned infrastructure, review gates, and automated validation
  • Reduce manual operation work through repeatable automation

DevSecOps:

  • Embed security controls into the delivery pipeline: scanning, policy enforcement, secrets management, and least-privilege access
  • Maintain strong identity and access management practices across environments
  • Support compliance-driven requirements with audit-friendly controls and evidence generation

CI/CD and developer experience:

  • Build and improve CI/CD pipelines that are fast, reliable, and measurable
  • Raise quality through consistent build/test/release workflows and clear release artefacts
  • Improve the developer experience with better local workflows, templates, and self-serve tooling

Observability, reliability, and incident response:

  • Strengthen logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and dashboards so issues are visible before customers notice
  • Improve on-call readiness through runbooks, playbooks, and post-incident learning
  • Lead and implement reliability improvements that reduce time to recovery
