Regional Harvesting & Marketing Manager
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual with relevant harvesting and marketing experience to lead and manage their existing team in Central Scotland. Based in Perth, the role involves working closely with clients, customers, and markets, as well as developing new business. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable operational and management experience, excellent professional acumen, commercial awareness, IT literacy, and strong communication and organization skills. Previous experience with contractors, project management, and health & safety management are essential. An in-depth understanding of timber harvesting marketing, standing sale assessments, site planning, and harvesting systems is required, along with proven experience in leading and developing a timber harvesting management team and contractors.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the existing team in Central Scotland.
- Work closely with existing clients, customers, and markets.
- Involved in the development of new business.
- Demonstrate operational and management experience.
- Manage contractors and project management.
- Oversee health & safety management.
- Undertake aspects of the roles and responsibilities of a Forestry Works Manager.
Requirements
- EXPERIENCED, ENTHUSIASTIC AND SELF-MOTIVATED INDIVIDUAL.
- Relevant harvesting and marketing experience.
- Demonstrable operational and management experience.
- Excellent professional acumen.
- Commercially aware.
- IT literate.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills.
- Previous experience of working with contractors.
- Previous project management experience.
- Previous health & safety management experience.
- In-depth and extensive understanding of timber harvesting marketing.
- Understanding of standing sale assessments.
- Understanding of site planning.
- Understanding of harvesting systems.
- Proven experience of leading and developing an existing timber harvesting management team & contractors across a wide geographical location.
