Purpose of the Role

The Application Specialist will oversee and manage critical business applications to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the organisation. This role includes supporting and maintaining key systems, providing end-user support, and ensuring the smooth operation of applications across the business. The Application Specialist will also contribute to general IT support functions to maintain seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities

Application Management

  • Administer, configure, and maintain key applications, including: Zoho CRM, Zoho People and Zoho Forms. RADAR Healthcare. Rostering Solution (or similar platforms). Microsoft Dynamics (or similar platforms).
  • Develop and manage customisations and integrations for applications to enhance functionality and user experience.
  • Provide training and technical support to staff members on business applications.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimise workflows and processes within applications.
  • Troubleshoot application-related issues and liaise with external vendors for advanced support when necessary.
  • Manage application upgrades and ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including user guides and knowledge base articles.

IT Support

  • Collaborate with IT Help Desk colleagues to resolve "how do I" inquiries and administrative requests via the Help Desk software.
  • Record, prioritise, assign, and manage all requests and incidents related to applications and IT support.
  • Manage users and permissions across all internal IT systems and applications.
  • Assist with IT equipment setup and maintenance for staff members.
  • Provide general IT support, including remote desktop assistance, hardware diagnostics, and IT asset management.
  • Participate in small to large projects involving IT and application enhancements.

Key Skills

Development Plan

  • Opportunity to learn Deluge Programming for Zoho, enhancing skills in application customisation and automation.
  • Support for achieving ITIL Certification to align with best practices in IT service management.
  • PRINCE2 Certification for project management proficiency.

Applications Expertise

  • Proven experience in administering and maintaining business applications such as Zoho CRM, RADAR Healthcare, Rostering Systems or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of workflow automation and customisation within applications.
  • Experience with integration tools and API usage.
  • Knowledge of database structures and reporting tools.

General IT Skills

  • Familiarity with Active Directory and Office 365/Azure user and group administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint administration.
  • Knowledge of mobile device management for Android and Apple.
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 and basic hardware diagnostics.
  • ITIL/ITISM best practices and processes.

Beneficial Skills

  • ITIL Foundation Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune or Mobile Iron/Ivanti Neurons.
  • Knowledge of cyber security principles and certifications.
  • Google Workspace experience for ChromeOS device administration.
  • Experience with imaging tools such as Microsoft MDT.

Successful candidates will be required to have an Enhanced DBS check prior to commencing employment.
