Job Description
A well-established and growing Building Services provider is looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to support a portfolio of commercial sites across the South East. This is a mobile role offering long-term stability, strong earning potential, and the opportunity to work across a varied range of commercial environments. Engineers will be responsible for maintaining the gas and mechanical plant to ensure systems remain fully operational and compliant. Travel between sites forms part of the working day.
The Role
- Planned Preventive Maintenance and Reactive Repairs on Commercial Gas Plant
- Servicing Commercial Boilers, Heating Systems and Plant Room Equipment
- Fault Finding and Rectification of Gas and Mechanical Systems
- Testing, Purging and Commissioning in Line With Gas Safe Regulations
- Attending Breakdowns and Emergency Call Out
- Supporting Minor Installation Works, System Upgrades and Refurbishments
- Completing Service Reports and Gas Safety Documentation
- Maintaining High Health and Safety Standards Across All Sites
- Providing Technical Support and Updates to Clients on Site
Essential Requirements
- Commercial Gas Qualifications Including COCN1, CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1A (Or Equivalent)
- Proven Experience Working on Commercial Boilers and Heating Systems
- Strong Fault Finding and Diagnostic Skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to Work Independently and Within a Maintenance Team
- Good Communication and IT Skills for Job Reporting Systems
Desirable Qualifications
- Commercial Catering Gas Qualifications Including CODC1, COMCAT1, COMCAT2, COMCAT3, COMCAT
- Domestic Gas Qualifications Including CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1
Working Hours
Monday to Friday 8 am –5 pm (40-Hour Work Week). Participation in an Agreed Out Of Hours Call Out Rota. Engineers will need to demonstrate a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to the operational requirements of multiple sites.
Package
- £45,000 – £60,000 Basic Salary Depending on Experience
