FULL DESCRIPTION

Senior Structural Design Engineer

Location: Leicester, Leicestershire

Salary: £39000 - £52000 per annum

Sector: Civil & Structural

Type: Permanent

Job Description

A well-established and highly regarded engineering Consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to support the delivery of a wide-ranging and technically diverse workload.

The business has built a reputation for delivering creative, design-led structural solutions across sectors including residential, commercial, hotels, education, leisure and cultural buildings. In addition to new build projects, they are also heavily involved in refurbishment, conservation of historic structures and specialist engineering challenges, including complex bespoke designs.

This role will see you leading structural design across a variety of materials, working from concept through to detailed design and construction. You will be involved in projects that require both technical precision and creative problem solving, often working closely with architects and clients to realise the full design potential of each scheme.

You will utilise modern design approaches, including 3D modelling and BIM, ensuring that solutions are both efficient and buildable. Experience with Tekla is desirable, and you will be comfortable reviewing designs, attending meetings and providing technical guidance to both internal teams and external stakeholders. Due to the need for site visits and client interaction, a full UK driving licence is required.

The Consultancy is committed to maintaining high standards of quality and has a strong track record of repeat business, underpinned by its focus on delivering reliable and well-coordinated engineering solutions.

They offer a more office-led but flexible culture, with a strong emphasis on team collaboration and knowledge sharing. Benefits include a competitive salary, annual bonus, paid professional memberships, structured CPD and support toward chartership, alongside regular social and team events.
