The Opportunity

We're looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team at a key site in Cramlington.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical maintenance background who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

You'll play a vital role in maintaining critical mechanical systems, ensuring operational efficiency, and supporting a safe, compliant workplace.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Mechanical Technician, you will:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical systems
  • Maintain and repair plant and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation
  • Proactively identify faults, improvements, and remedial works, ensuring all activities are logged in the CMMS system
  • Work on key systems including: Steam boilers and steam/condensate systems, Chilled water systems, Compressed air systems, Pumps, AHUs, and BMS
  • Ensure all maintenance documentation meets GxP standards where required
  • Take ownership of asset records, ensuring logs and registers are accurate and up to date
  • Support and supervise subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered safely and to required standards
  • Issue and manage permits to work for maintenance activities
  • Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and investigations when required
  • Work closely with site teams and clients, maintaining a professional and proactive approach
