LOCATION: Manchester, Greater Manchester

SALARY: £32000 - £37000 per annum

The Opportunity

A well-established and growing engineering consultancy in Manchester city centre is looking to appoint 2-3 Civil Engineers as part of a planned team expansion. With a strong pipeline of work, the business is seeking ambitious engineers who want to be involved in projects from concept through to delivery. Current projects include large residential developments, industrial spaces and Film Studio's. This role offers excellent exposure across both civil and structural design (approx. 80% civils / 20% structures), making it ideal for engineers looking to broaden their experience.

The Role

You will work closely with developers and design teams across all stages of a project, including:

  • Supporting planning and development strategies
  • Producing drainage and infrastructure designs
  • Delivering technical packs (civils and structural elements)
  • Liaising with clients, housebuilders, and external stakeholders
  • Contributing to projects across:

Residential developments (primary focus)

Commercial & industrial schemes

Retail and specialist developments

Projects include large-scale housing schemes (300+ units), offering strong technical and client exposure.

About You

  • Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (or similar)
  • Experience in civil engineering design, ideally with drainage
  • Ambitious and motivated to progress your career
  • Keen to be part of a collaborative, office-based team
  • Strong communication skills and desire to take ownership of work
