Job Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrician to join one of the UK's leading Facilities Management companies, covering Glasgow and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background and hold recognised qualifications such as NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or Maintenance, along with the 18th Edition as a minimum.
The Role
You will be working as part of a regional team across a number of retail sites, carrying out a wide range of building maintenance duties. The role involves both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works on electrical and mechanical plant.
Duties
- Support other technicians with major and minor maintenance tasks
- Complete all PPM and reactive maintenance within agreed timescales
- Ensure all documentation and paperwork is completed accurately
- Prioritise and carry out minor repairs efficiently
- Ensure all tools and equipment are available and in good working order
- Travel to additional sites within the region when required
- Work closely with colleagues and clients to maintain high standards
- Represent the company in a professional manner at all times
- Work in line with company KPI's
- Accurately update the Mercury system with live job information
Qualifications
- NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (or equivalent apprenticeship)
- 18th Edition
Salary / Package
Basic Salary: £36,558
Standby Payments: £2,535
Additional £1,500 competency payment (upon completion of electrical fault training on catering/bakery equipment)
Total package: £40,593 (post-training) + overtime
Overtime: 1.5x Monday to Friday, 2x weekends
OTE typically £45,000 - £50,000+ (higher depending on overtime uptake)

Call-out rota: 1 in 4
