Senior Electrical Building Services Engineer
Location: Nottingham, Nottinghamshire
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

The Role
You'll take ownership of electrical design delivery across a diverse portfolio, overseeing projects from initial survey through to handover. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role where engineers are trusted to manage the full lifecycle, rather than being siloed into specific stages.
Projects are varied and engaging, including:
- Healthcare schemes and NHS frameworks
- Large-scale leisure developments (including significant work with Center Parcs)
- Long-term retail partnerships (notably a 15+ year relationship with Urban Outfitters across the UK & Europe)
- Decarbonisation projects within the education sector
- Emergency services and fire & rescue frameworks
You'll be client-facing, working closely with stakeholders, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure technically robust and commercially viable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical design from concept through to RIBA Stage 7
- Production of calculations, specifications, drawings, and tender documentation
- Coordination with wider MEP and sustainability teams
- Client and design team engagement
- Site inspections, reporting, and quality assurance
- Supporting feasibility studies and technical reports
About You
- 5+ years' experience in electrical building services design
- Strong working knowledge of BS 7671, emergency lighting, and fire alarms
- Comfortable in a client-facing role with strong communication skills
- Experience delivering projects within a consultancy or contractor environment
- Relevant qualification (HNC/HND/Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar)
- Competent with AutoCAD and electrical design software
- Full UK driving licence
