We're supporting a key infrastructure project in Melksham and are looking for an experienced M&E Supervisor to oversee mechanical and electrical installation works on a National Grid site.

This is a hands-on supervisory role working within a live utilities environment, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring delivery against programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise mechanical and electrical installation activities on site
  • Coordinate subcontractors and daily site operations
  • Deliver toolbox talks and support RAMS implementation
  • Ensure compliance with National Grid safety procedures and site rules
  • Monitor progress against programme and report to site management
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety and documentation

Essential Requirements

  • NG Person accreditation (required)
  • Manual Handling certification (required)
  • Previous experience supervising M&E works on infrastructure or utility projects
  • SSSTS or SMSTS
  • CSCS / ECS Supervisor card
  • Full PPE ready for site mobilisation

Desirable

  • Experience working on substations or National Grid environments
  • BESC / Substation entry awareness
  • First Aid at Work

This role would suit an experienced M&E Supervisor who is already cleared for National Grid access and able to mobilise quickly.
