Fire and Security Installation Engineer

Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £30000 - £36000 per annum + Paid Travel, Van, Overtime

Role & Responsibilities
- Installation of CCTV, intruder alarm, access control and fire alarm systems
- Installation and commissioning of fire alarm systems, including cabling, device installation and panel work
- Working across supermarket sites, as well as hospitals and distribution centres
- Completing installations to a high standard within agreed timescales
- Supporting team members on larger install projects
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with company standards and relevant regulations
- Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order
- Representing the company in a professional manner on client sites
- Flexibility to travel where required based on project locations
Systems & Equipment
- CCTV systems (e.g. Hanwha, Hikvision, Dahua)
- Intruder alarm systems (e.g. Galaxy / Honeywell)
- Access control systems (e.g. Vanderbilt, ACT, Paxton)
- Fire alarm systems (various conventional and addressable systems)
Requirements
- Experience installing fire and/or security systems (CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, fire alarms)
- Experience with fire alarm installation and commissioning highly desirable
- Time-served engineer or relevant industry experience
- CSCS card and/or industry qualifications beneficial but not essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Salary / Package
Basic salary: £36,000 (experienced engineers) £30,000 (junior level with progression plan)
OTE: Mid to high £40,000s with overtime
Paid monthly (13 payments per year)
Overtime paid after 160 hours per 4-week period
Time + 1/3, then 1.5x, then double time
Weekend work paid at double time
Late night work (after 11pm) at enhanced rates
Travel time: First 30 minutes each way unpaid
No call-out rota
Install-only role
