Our provision is for two, three and four year olds. We also provide wraparound care for families. The Centre has close links with the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge. We are seeking an experienced Early Years Class Teacher to lead a class team on Monday- Wednesday in the delivery of high-quality educational provision for up to 24 three-four year olds. This teaching role will be combined with a 2 day a week Deputy Headteacher role on a Thursday and Friday. The Deputy Headteacher will have significant successful experience of Early Years Education and, like our staff and governors, will be passionate about supporting young children and their families. We seek a team player with excellent interpersonal skills to work closely and collaboratively with the Governors, Staff and Headteacher, Mrs Mitali Peckham, who will be working Monday-Wednesday and will be on call on a Thursday and Friday when needed. Together this strong leadership team will determine the strategic direction of the Centre, with a forward thinking, creative approach to meeting current day challenges.
The successful applicant will have:
- excellent knowledge and outstanding practice of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- successful leadership experience in an early years setting
- a flexible, forward thinking, creative approach to innovation and problem solving
- confidence with the collection, analysis and interpretation of data regarding young children’s progress and development
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Be willing to undertake further professional development in leadership and management
