About the Role
Eye C of E Primary School is a thriving wraparound care provision, seeking to appoint a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team on a bank/casual basis. The successful candidate will work across our breakfast club, after-school provision during term time, and holiday club, supporting children aged 2–11 years. The role involves planning and delivering a range of engaging, age-appropriate play experiences in a safe, caring and stimulating environment. This role is well suited to candidates seeking flexible work, who are able to support the provision on some, but not necessarily all weekdays, depending on operational needs.
Person Specification
- Essential
- Experience of working in education and/or childcare
- A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in childcare
- Ability to plan and organise appropriate activities for children aged 2–11 years
- A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
- Clear knowledge and understanding of safeguarding procedures
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to establish positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues
- Good written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise and accurate correspondence
- A proactive, reflective and self-motivated approach to work
- Desirable
- Experience working in a holiday club or wraparound provision
- Current Paediatric First Aid certificate
- Food Hygiene Certificate
- Sport Coaching Qualifications
Hours on Offer
- Term Time Breakfast Club: 7:30am – 9:00am
- Term Time Afterschool Club: 3:00pm – 6:00pm
- School Holidays: Flexible shifts between 8:00am – 6:00pm
Working days and hours will be offered on a bank/casual basis, in line with the needs of the wraparound and holiday provision. Hours will be offered in advance where possible, and flexibility is essential. Bank staff may be offered additional hours to cover staff absence or periods of increased demand.

This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
