Salary: Level 2 NJC points 5-6 (£25,583 – £25,989 FTE) or Level 3 NJC points 7–11 (£26,403 to £28,142 FTE)

Early Years Teaching Assistant – required ASAP

We currently have an amazing opportunity to join us as an Early Years Teaching Assistant. This position is term-time only, 38 weeks per year, salary Level 2 scale point 5-6 (£25,583 – £25,989 FTE) or Level 3 scale points 7 – 11 (£26,403 to £28,142 FTE) depending on experience and early years qualification, the working hours are 9.00 am – 3.15 pm. To start as soon as possible.

[Employer hidden] is small one form entry school in Cambridge with approximately 210 pupils, and we also benefit from a 26-place nursery. We have a team of committed staff that make learning fun and exciting and they reflect the very best of classroom practice and quite simply enjoy their profession, this is an opportunity to come and join our team.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Enjoy working with children
  • Have high expectations of children and themselves
  • Have a DfE accredited Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Professional Status qualification, please check if your qualification is accredited here – https://www.gov.uk/guidance/check-an-early-years-qualification
  • Understand the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and the Safeguarding and Welfare Requirements and the ability to meet them
  • Be flexible, creative and upbeat
  • Be keen to support class teacher’s learning and carry out interventions
  • Be a team player who collaborates well with staff, families and the wider community
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates a high standard of both spoken and written English
