Deputy Headteacher
The Governors and Head teacher are seeking to appoint an inspirational Deputy Headteacher to join our Church school community from September 2026. We are a friendly, supportive school that offers well-behaved children who want to learn. If you have a passion for ensuring children learn and meet their full potential, and if you have the drive and energy to sustain our continued school improvement journey, then this is the role for you!
About the Role
Deputy Headteacher (Permanent, Full Time, 0.2 teaching commitment)
Salary: L9 – L13 (£63,070 – £69,596)
Start Date: September 2026
About You
- Are an excellent teacher with a strong understanding of the pedagogy behind effective teaching and learning.
- Have the ability to inspire and motivate others in achieving a common goal.
- Can demonstrate whole school leadership experience that has impacted positively on a school over a sustained period of time.
- Have expertise and experience across the Primary curriculum and age range, with the ability to take lead roles in a range of curriculum areas, and teaching and learning in general.
- Are an ambitious person, committed to self-development and the development of others.
- Value thoroughness and efficiency in equal measure – our school is a happy place to be but very busy!
- Support and build further upon the distinctive Christian character of our Church school.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
