About the Role
St Michael’s Church School, part of ACT Multi Academy Trust, is seeking a passionate and committed Catering Manager to lead our school’s catering provision and join our vibrant, values-driven team. Situated on the outskirts of Peterborough, our school is guided by our Christian ethos and core values: Friendship, Learning, Action, Manners, and Excellence (FLAME). Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and serving of nutritious, high-quality school lunches that excite and energise our pupils.
- Plan seasonal, inclusive menus that reflect pupil preferences and dietary needs.
- Manage stock, ordering, and budgeting efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment.
- Ensure full compliance with hygiene, food safety, and allergen regulations.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Bring experience in school or similar catering settings.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and allergen management.
- Be organised, communicative, and committed to excellence.
- Hold relevant food safety and/or catering qualifications.
- Share our belief that healthy food supports healthy minds and bodies, enabling children to flourish in their learning.
