Job Type: Temporary (12 months)

Salary: £26,403 – £28,142 (pro-rata)

Hours: 22.5/Term time plus INSET day (39 weeks)

About the Role

[Employer hidden] has an exciting opportunity! We are looking to appoint a Finance Assistant/Administrator to join our team, the contract is for a fixed term of 12 months, in the first instance. Ridgefield is a wonderful, community-based school on the outskirts of Cambridge, with excellent transport links to the A14 and A11. The main Cambridge train station is also only a short walk away.

The role will involve working closely with an experienced School Business Manager, the Headteacher and office team, to support, help contribute to (and implement) strategic planning and development of the school.

We are looking for:

A capable, enthusiastic, energetic person with a can-do attitude to join our happy team. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

  • Experience in a School Office is very desirable.
  • Experience in a finance administration position in the public or private sector is essential.
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent ICT skills with experience of using Microsoft Office packages.
  • Flexibility in adapting to the changing needs of the school

Working Pattern

Ideally, we are looking for someone to work: Monday – Friday 8.30 am – 13.00 pm, but please specify your ideal working pattern in your covering letter. Our approach is always to try and work with our staff to achieve the right work/life balance. This will be discussed during the interview.
