About the Role
[Employer hidden] is looking for an energetic, hardworking, and enthusiastic person with a range of practical skills to join their successful school team. The role involves undertaking duties that will keep the site safe, clean, and healthy. The successful candidate will work to provide a great environment for our children, staff, and visitors by being friendly and approachable and maintaining the safety and cleanliness of the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and health of the school site.
- Working with fire and security systems.
- Operating plant room equipment.
- Ensuring a safe and healthy environment for children, staff, and visitors.
Requirements
- Flexibility in approach to working.
- Good understanding of Health and Safety procedures/compliance.
- Self-motivated, trustworthy, and proactive.
- Ability to work effectively and supportively as part of a team.
- Confidence and ability to act on own initiative.
- Positive outlook and good work ethic.
- Good communication skills.
- Facilities background and/or previous experience of working in a school environment.
- Some IT knowledge and ability to learn school systems.
Job Details
Hours: 36.25/37.00 hours per week, all year around.
Salary: Grade 6 SCP 7-12 £26,403 – £28,598 (based on FTE of 37 Hours or pro rata’d)
