About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to lead our Midday team. As Lead Midday Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the team to ensure the smooth running of the lunchtime period. You will act as the key link between the Midday Supervisors, the Catering Team, and the finance Manager, supporting effective communication and maintaining high standards of safety, behaviour, and welfare for all pupils.
Your role will include managing the MDS team, ensuring incidents and accidents are reported accurately, and promoting a calm and positive lunchtime environment across the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organise, direct and supervise the work of the Midday Supervisors, arranging daily deployment of staff to ensure adequate supervision in all areas.
- Act as the first point of contact for the lunchtime team, providing guidance and support including assisting with staff induction, training and development as required. Arrange cover where necessary due to staff absences.
- Organising and supervising the Midday Supervisory Assistant team.
- Acting as the link between the Midday Supervisory Team and other stakeholder areas in school
- Ensuring the safety and welfare of pupils at all times during the lunchtime period.
- Managing team rotas and ensuring smooth day-to-day operation of the lunchtime service.
Your role will also include:
- Supervising children in the dining hall
- supporting younger children with their lunches
- helping with the domestic duties included in the daily running of the dining hall.
- Supervising children in the playground.
