Domiciliary Care Assistant

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Ltd is seeking a compassionate Domiciliary Care Assistant to provide high-quality care to clients in various settings. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, mobility, monitoring vital signs, meal preparation, providing companionship, medication reminders, maintaining a safe environment, documenting care, and following care plans. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a care certificate or higher, basic IT experience, previous care experience, strong communication skills in English (IELTS 6+), and a valid UK full driving license with a car.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Support clients with mobility and physical activities, including transfers and exercises.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as needed.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Help with medication administration and reminders.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including housekeeping tasks.
  • Document care activities and report any changes in clients’ conditions to the healthcare team.
  • Follow care plans and instructions from healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent training.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Must have completed a care certificate at the minimum or higher
  • Basic IT experience
  • Previous care experience, experience with working within a team in a healthcare setting
  • Able to demonstrate care and compassion
  • Be able to interpret and understand care plan documents
  • High proficiency in English language speaking and English writing (ILETS score of 6 and above)
  • Able to clearly document written information
  • Must hold a valid UK full driving license and have a car to use in this role
