Health Care Administrator

The Health Care Administrator at [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Ltd is responsible for overseeing the administrative functions of the healthcare facility. This role involves managing records, scheduling, billing, and ensuring efficient operation of the facility. The Health Care Administrator supports the care team by handling the business aspects of healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient records and ensure their confidentiality.
  • Coordinate scheduling of appointments and staff shifts.
  • Handle billing, invoicing, and insurance claims.
  • Oversee procurement and inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Provide administrative support to the care team and management.
  • Handle correspondence, phone calls, and inquiries professionally.
  • Prepare reports and presentations as required.
  • Facilitate communication between staff, clients, and external partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in healthcare administration is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in healthcare management software and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and billing procedures.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Mandatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Must have completed a care certificate at the minimum or higher
  • Basic IT experience

Experience

  • Previous care experience, experience with working within a team in a healthcare setting
  • Able to demonstrate care and compassion
  • Be able to interpret and understand care plan documents

Communication

  • High proficiency in English language speaking and English writing (ILETS score of 6 and above)
  • Able to clearly document written information

Mobility requirements

  • Must hold a valid UK full driving license and have a car to use in this role

Working Conditions:

Required to work 37hours and above per week Monday to Sunday, some days including weekends and holidays.

Care will be provided mainly in clients homes and other healthcare settings
