Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tig Welder to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and other materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
  • Use hand tools and power tools effectively to prepare materials for welding and assembly.
  • Assemble components and structures as per engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance overall productivity.
  • Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
  • Demonstrate mechanical knowledge in troubleshooting equipment issues as they arise.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in TIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding techniques and practices.
  • Familiarity with sheet metal work is essential; experience in stick welding is advantageous.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to read technical drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Basic maths skills for effective measurement and calculation tasks related to fabrication.
