Personal Assistant Roles – Essex

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is looking for experienced Learning Support Assistant to assist with a young adults in Essex/Thurrock. This involves supporting the individual to access tailored courses within a wide range of settings from the student’s homes, work placement, local colleges, social activities, or leisure-based settings. The main aspects of this role will be to support individuals to enable them too:

  • Maintain current skills
  • Develop new skills
  • Access wider choices
  • Establish destination

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • To provide 1-1 Education delivery to ensure and recording of outcomes
  • Teaching, Learning and Assessment activities
  • You will assist the student in several activities
  • Share all outcomes with the student’s staff and family to ensure continued use of the device throughout the week
  • Follow an Individual Learning Plan, record, and track progress
  • Update the students written/typed portfolio

Qualifications and Skills:

Pineapple are looking for someone with previous experience supporting younger adults with Learning Difficulties. The ideal candidates for this position will have a good sense of humor, can create and maintain relationships and have strong communication skills, a creative personality and willingness to learn.

Essential to the role:

  • Enhanced DBS valid for working with Children and Adults (dated within 1 year, registered on the update service) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Safeguarding knowledge
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Ability to engage the person to participate in lessons and activities
  • Must be willing to gain knowledge of the learning process and specific needs of the person
  • Calm, supporting and encouraging manner
  • Ability to work as part of the successful support team
