About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our care team. This role is ideal for someone who wants the opportunity to take on added responsibility while continuing to provide high-quality, person-centred care within the community. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will support service users with their daily needs while also acting as a role model and support to other care staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality personal care and support in line with individual care plans
  • Administer or assist with medication in accordance with policies and training
  • Support service users with mobility, nutrition, personal hygiene, and daily activities
  • Promote dignity, independence, and choice at all times
  • Act as a senior point of contact during shifts, offering guidance to Care Assistants
  • Monitor and report changes in service users’ physical or emotional wellbeing
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and management as required
  • Ensure care is delivered in line with CQC regulatory standards
  • Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and infection control procedures

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a care/support worker role
  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults or elderly individuals
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • A caring, patient, and professional approach
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Must have good English communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience in a senior or lead care role
  • Dementia care experience
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
