Finance Assistant

Permanent, Full Time (35 hours per week), flexible working pattern considered.

Salary £24-£28k pro-rata depending on experience.

Job Summary

The Finance Assistant is a member of the Trust Central Team. They are responsible for supporting the Head of Finance and Trust Central Team in delivering an effective finance service to schools. The role will include the following:

  • Provide professional finance support to Schools within our Trust and help ensure compliance with statutory requirements. This includes but is not limited to bank reconciliations, journal posting, clearing control accounts, transaction processing and financial monitoring.
  • Support the production of financial monitoring reports for individual schools including Monthly Management Accounts, Governor Papers and statutory submissions.

  • is a qualified/part qualified accountant, or experianced finance profesional;
  • is an outstanding team player;
  • is self motivated and can work well remotely if required;
  • has the ability to work as part of a forward-looking team;
