FULL DESCRIPTION

Development Consultants

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking qualified individuals to become Development Consultants. Responsibilities include scoping qualification content, writing unit content, drafting and reviewing assessments, and mapping content against standards. Candidates need up-to-date subject matter knowledge, industry competence, understanding of learners, and experience in vocational teaching. Experience in qualification/assessment design or delivery/quality assurance is desirable. The role requires commitment to remote work and online meetings, good time management, and the ability to meet deadlines. Training will be provided. Excellent attention to detail and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Scoping qualification content – e.g. qualification and unit structures, rules of combinations, assessment designs
  • Writing unit content
  • Drafting assessments and sample assessment materials – e.g. multiple-choice question papers, knowledge tests, practical assessments, professional discussions, portfolios of evidence
  • Reviewing and amending assessments as part of reviewing panels or as a scrutineer
  • Reviewing the mapping of content against standards or other qualifications

Requirements

  • Up-to-date subject matter knowledge, industry-specific competence and practical experience
  • An understanding of learners and their needs
  • Experience in, or understanding of, teaching in the vocational sector.

Previous experience or qualification and assessment design, or experience in the delivery and quality assurance of qualifications, is desirable.

You will need to be willing to commit to both remote work and face-to-face online meetings during normal working hours for the development of our qualifications and assessments. For this reason, you must have good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

[Employer hidden] will support you with training relevant to your role. You will need to be available to attend training prior to the start of the qualification or assessment development, where required. You may be required to carry out one or more aspects of the role, depending on the nature of the qualification or assessment development.

You will also need to have excellent attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
