Job Description

The Course Coordinator will be responsible for the administrative activities for the courses. S/he is expected to organise the programme material, resources in line with the curriculum and awarding organisation requirements. The course coordination requires the person to be hand on with Moodle (VLE), join.me scheduling and be able to manage the teaching schedule of all courses. In particular, s/he is expected to manage the process of updating the teaching and learning resources, courses files, curriculum plan and assessments

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the planning and updating the course files
  • Update the schemes of work, lesson plan, curriculum plan for all courses
  • Manage summary of teaching schedules for all tutors
  • Undertake course and class timetabling and scheduling on join.me to ensure efficient utilisation of session being delivered
  • Keep the resources and recording on the moodle up-to-date, check and liaison with tutors to ensure that the teaching material, handouts and recording are updated on moodle.
  • Expect to maintain teaching experience while delivering classes for area of speciality course’s
  • Generate and provide report to the Principal

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor Degree minimum with a 2:1 or higher qualification,
  • A teaching qualification minimum at Level 5, (DET)
  • Good IT Skills - Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Windows 7 or 10 or Macs,
  • Knowledge of use of webinar software – Join.me/ WebEx, Moodle – Learner Management System
  • Experience of planning and developing curriculum programmes
  • Substantial experience of effective timetabling, deployment and utilisation of staff across courses
  • Successful track record in improving the quality of teaching and learning in HE, Sixth Form College, or private college
  • Able to multi-task, managing time to meet frequently changing deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
