FULL DESCRIPTION

Leith Breakfast Club - Practitioner

Hours: 07:15-09:00am Monday - Friday

Salary: £15.00 per hour

Role Purpose

The key purpose of the role is to manage the Leith breakfast club. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Organise and record up to date registers of attendance.
  • Provide a nutritious balanced breakfast for children prior to the school day.
  • Provide a welcoming atmosphere allows children to develop to their full potential.
  • Practice understanding of the Care Inspectorate Social Care Standards and SSSC codes of conduct and legislations.
  • Maximise the numbers of children attending the setting.
  • Ensure the safe collection and transportation of children between the club and school.
  • Manage the administration of the setting, keeping relevant records and ensuring that the agreed club procedures are implemented.
  • Actively attend club and organisation meetings.
  • Maintain good working relationships with other clubs as well as third-party organisations and agencies.
  • Identify and develop partnerships internally and throughout the community.
  • Act as the initial point of contact for any approaches regarding to the out of school club setting from parents, school staff or any other interested parties.
  • Purchase resources, as necessary, within agreed budget with the finance team and keeping appropriate financial records.
