The Content Rights & Planning Associate is the ideal role for someone at the early stage of their career in Sports Content Planning. It’s an exciting role, with a wide remit that includes the critical management of Sports Rights combined with analytical & operational support for the Content Planning team.

What you'll do:

Rights (70%)

  • Work closely with the Commercial and Legal teams to ensure all [Employer hidden] Sports rights are captured accurately & maintained in our Rights system,
  • Collaborate with Sport Planning Teams (Linear, UI Merchandising and Streams) to ensure all required needs are met and Rights details are correctly recorded,
  • To play an integral role in all Compliance and OFCOM related matters and to ensure all relevant date is recorded accurately,
  • Find ways to improve the rights management process for [Employer hidden] Sports by challenging processes and exploring the use of new tools including AI,
  • Interrogate the rights we have to make sure they are being fully utilised.

Content Planning (30%)

  • Work closely with the team to help manage [Employer hidden] Sports forward plans (in Excel and Airtable),
  • Learn how run basic performance analysis on TechEdge and Tableau and present those insights to the team,
  • Collaborate with the [Employer hidden] Sports production teams to explore with them how customers are consuming their content,
  • Support the Senior Content Planner and Manager in their management of commercial minutage.

What you'll bring:

  • Strong interest in sport and sports media, with an understanding of content delivery across linear and digital platforms,
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to accurately manage and maintain complex rights, planning and compliance data,
  • Flawless written and spoken English, with absolute accuracy in grammar, spelling and clarity, suitable for legal and operational documentation,
  • Analytical capability, confident working with data to identify issues, inconsistencies and performance insights,
  • Working knowledge of Excel and planning tools (e.g. Airtable), with exposure to rights systems, reporting tools or basic SQL considered an advantage,
  • Proactive and curious mindset, with a genuine interest in using automation, AI and new tools to improve processes, efficiency and accuracy,
  • You have worked in or with teams such as Legal, Commercial, Compliance, Operations or Production, and handled sensitive information appropriately,
  • Used reporting or BI tools (e.g., Tableau/TechEdge or similar) to build or present basic performance reporting.

Your office base:
Osterley:

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There’s also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
