Teaching Assistant

About the role

In this role you will have the opportunity to assist in lesson learning with the class teacher, and occasionally lead activities. The role will also include a range of support options in groups, intervention groups and on a 1-1 basis. This role will give the candidate the chance to gain new experiences within a primary education setting.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:

• Have a DBS that is registered on the update service or be able to arrange one.
• Be able to secure references to cover the last two years.
• Have at least 2 weeks of relevant, school based work.
• Be a welcoming influence on the classroom and individual’s learning. You will also need to give feedback to the class teacher on this learning.
• Be able to form meaningful working relationships with both staff and students.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

• At least 2 weeks relevant experience of being a Primary Teaching Assistant on a voluntary or paid basis.
