Compliance Manager – Payments/Banking

We’re looking for a Compliance Manager to join an exciting organisation which provides an innovative platform supporting the banking & payments industry. As Compliance Manager, you’ll lead compliance monitoring and assurance activity, ensuring regulatory obligations and internal policies are effectively implemented and maintained. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to the business while driving robust governance and control frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver compliance monitoring and assurance plans
  • Conduct control and thematic reviews across the business
  • Provide second-line compliance advice and challenge
  • Assess control effectiveness and governance adherence
  • Track compliance issues, breaches, and remediation actions
  • Support regulatory readiness and evidence gathering
  • Maintain compliance registers and obligations tracking
  • Produce MI and assurance reporting
  • Review business changes for compliance risk impacts
  • Support policy lifecycle reviews and updates

Experience & Knowledge

  • Strong background in FinTech or Payments within an FCA-regulated environment
  • Significant experience (c.10 years) in generalist compliance roles
  • Expertise in assurance, regulatory oversight, and policy governance
  • Self-starter with strong ownership mindset
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative with strong cultural awareness
