Job description

Investment Banking Associate (M&A & Fundraising) Meraki Talent is working with an independent, owner-managed investment banking advisory entering the next phase of its growth. This is a hands-on execution role within a lean, high-calibre team advising on mid-market M&A and equity fundraising mandates. Typical deal sizes range from £40m–£100m, with regular exposure to transactions into the high hundreds of millions. The firm competes on judgement, pace and delivery against significantly larger advisory platforms. This is not a process-heavy environment. It is a delivery-led one.

The Role You will work directly with the owners and take responsibility for running transactions end-to-end.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading M&A and equity fundraising mandates
  • Managing full transaction processes post-origination
  • Acting as a senior client-facing representative
  • Coordinating advisers, investors and counterparties
  • Supporting pitches and new mandate development
  • Mentoring and setting standards for junior team members

Judgement, ownership and execution discipline are critical. You will be trusted to deliver outcomes, not just produce materials.

Background This role will suit someone who:

  • Has strong M&A and fundraising execution experience
  • Has closed transactions in the £40m–£100m+ range
  • Is comfortable operating in a lean, accountable environment
  • Can engage directly with CEOs, founders and investors

Exposure to technology or AI-related tools would be advantageous.

What's on Offer:

  • Genuine autonomy and responsibility
  • Direct exposure to decision-makers
  • High-quality deal flow
  • A platform where contribution is visible
  • Minimal bureaucracy

This is a long-term opportunity for someone who wants to build credibility, not simply rotate through roles.
