FULL DESCRIPTION
Lead Business Analyst
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is recruiting a Lead Business Analyst for a leading retailer. The role involves managing the BA function, leading a team, providing business change capabilities, and designing business systems. The position is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing and building the BA function within the IT department.
- You will be in charge of the management of a small team of Business Analyst and you will develop this team of BA’s.
- Providing best practice insight and business change capabilities
- Provide consultancy to business areas & problem solving
- Business analysis and business systems design
- Evaluate potential external application resources and package solutions
- Assist in Risk Analysis
- Microsoft tools in support of the function (Excel, Word, Visio)
- You will ensure design and testing aligns to the original objectives of a project
- Working closely with the project management, architecture, operations and security to scope solution development, functional and non-functional requirements.
- Ensure suitable user documentation and training are provided as part of the solution development process.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with good senior-level stakeholder management soft skills and competencies
Required Skills:
- Extensive experience in a Business Analysis and/or BA Leadership role
- Strong analysis and business system design skills
- Proven management/leadership experiences
- Broad business knowledge such as digital, infrastructure, operations etc.
- Thought leader
- Previous use/admin of Jira for managing portions of project lifecycle (e.g. backlog, project tasks and testing scenarios)
- Excellent knowledge in using Microsoft tools.
- Stakeholder management
- Background: retail, airline, hotels would be ideal.
