[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] are currently recruiting for a German or Italian speaking IT Delivery Manager for our client, a leading retailer who are undertaking several large-scale transformation projects. They are looking to bring on board an experienced IT Delivery Manager with extensive experience of network technologies and architecture such as TCP/IP, DNS, layer 3 routing protocols, sub-netting, QoS, & VLANs.

IT Delivery Manager

Purpose: Liaison between IT and key business stakeholders to understand technology demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strong multi-lingual skills required. German or Italian (Dutch, French and Spanish secondary)
  • Co-ordinate projects and ensure stakeholders are engaged.
  • Act as the conduit of communication between various stakeholders.
  • Manage communications with key stakeholders to drive technology budgets and provide relevant and timely updates on technology projects and lights on costs in a service model framework.
  • Act as the IT Business Partner and ambassador of technology for stakeholders to elicit business demand.
  • Network technologies & protocols incl. TCP/IP, DNS, layer 3 routing protocols, sub-netting, QoS, & VLANs
  • Manage all aspects of delivery for projects pertaining to specific business areas, or group technology initiatives being implemented.
  • Management and appropriate reporting of delivery status of initiatives to line management to ensure visibility of delivery progress.
  • Management of all initiatives in adherence to the IT governance processes and standards.
  • Provide technical expertise in resolving problems for stakeholders.
  • Help identify trends and issues which require attention and act on these appropriately.
  • Responsible for supplier management during implementations.
  • Demonstrate awareness of new technologies in the industry and input into the IT strategy.

Experience required:

  • Strong multi-lingual skills required. German or Italian (Dutch, French and Spanish secondary)
  • Excellent knowledge of Industry Standard Network Architectures
  • Network technologies & protocols incl. TCP/IP, DNS, layer 3 routing protocols, sub-netting, QoS, & VLANs
  • Functional knowledge of operating systems, applications and utilities
  • Video Conference Deployment and networking skills
  • Awareness of current technical options for server, print, network, desktop, laptop etc.
  • IT delivery management experience required
  • Project management methodologies (Agile and Waterfall), reporting and budget management is essential.
