About the role
This is a fantastic 12 month fixed term contract opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to step into the role of Large corporate Insurance Underwriter. This secondment will last for up to 12 months, offering you the chance to dive deep into the world of large corporate insurance and enhance your underwriting expertise. As a Property Underwriter, you’ll take ownership of your own portfolio, leading on select cases and shaping outcomes by assessing risks, negotiating terms, and delivering high-quality underwriting decisions that uphold [Employer hidden]’s trusted principles and rigorous standards. Our team manages accounts exceeding £100,000 and drives over £200 million in Gross Written Premium Income, placing you right at the heart of a high-performing and strategically vital area of our business.

About you
The successful candidate will have experience in underwriting. This could be from an insurer or broker environment.
You will be a strong communicator with the ability to build long lasting relationships. You will be able to influence decisions and adapt your communication style to effectively present information to a range of technical and non-technical audiences.
Essential Skills:
- Underwriting experience (whether in a broker or insurance company) is a requirement.
- Commercial underwriting experience is preferable.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work well within a team
- A strategic and forward-thinking mindset.
- Having a CII qualification or working towards would be desirable, however it is not essential.
