Financial Advisers

Providing financial peace of mind for our customers

Customers at the heart of what we do

Ever since [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] was established in 1910, we’ve provided a variety of financial products to customers across the UK. We believe in the value of financial advice. We recognise that our customers’ financial lives can only benefit by having a financial plan in place that reflects their circumstances now and in the future.

As one of our Financial Advisers, you’ll be at the heart of providing life insurance, pension, investment, wealth management and Inheritance Tax advice. From small investors to high net worth individuals, you’ll continue our tradition of looking after our customers, getting to know their circumstances and helping to protect them, their families and their businesses.

Our financial services proposition

Designed to meet the needs of our chosen markets.

Providing financial peace of mind

Our proposition means you’ll have the chance to offer financial planning advice across a wide range of solutions. Of course, you’ll have plenty of support – not least, from our network of more than 300 agencies that are rooted in local communities across the UK. Working closely our agencies makes your role easier; they have already built incredibly strong customer relationships and are a fantastic source of leads for you.

We offer investment funds that we manage, including With Profits, in our own pension, bond and ISA wrappers, backed by our customer services team. Recognising the excellent protection products that other companies provide, we’ve partnered with AIG Life, who now provide and run our protection propositions. Similarly, we have a relationship with Utmost to provide our offshore Discounted Gift Trust and with Barnett Waddingham to provide drawdown.

In many ways a unique insurer

We’re not the only company to offer both Financial Services and General Insurance, but what sets us apart is the relationship and trust our customers invest in us. This is demonstrated by our market leading year on year retention rates. In 2018 we retained 96% of our Financial Services customers and 95% of our General Insurance customers. These renewal rates reinforce just how loyal our customers are.

Our strategy is to cross sell our financial planning service to our loyal General Insurance customers. Working with our Agency Network we build existing relationships by promoting our financial advice business, whether this is by local agency initiatives or through centrally run marketing campaigns. As one of our Financial Advisers you’ll have customers and prospects who have experienced the [Employer hidden] way of doing business and like our approach.

Financial Adviser support

To enable you to spend more time with customers and prospects, we provide you with high-quality administrative, technical and report-writing support. Along with our supportive culture and ongoing development opportunities, you can also look forward to some very attractive benefits.

Uncapped earnings

Your on-target earnings could be £100,000 per year. And with our uncapped sales incentive scheme, you’ll have the potential to earn much more, as many of our Financial Advisers already do.

Lead generation

As well as passing across qualified new business leads, your local Agents will support you by giving you the opportunity to offer new products to their existing customers. This mutually beneficial relationship with your local agencies is unique to [Employer hidden]. And when you combine this with your own networking and business development skills, you can be sure that your diary will be filled with great appointments each week.

The tools to do the job

We’ll make sure you have everything you need to do your job. This will include a car, laptop, phone and, most importantly, the support of the wider Financial Adviser community.

Training and development

Putting people first is in our nature – this applies as much to our staff as our customers. So, when it comes to your personal and professional development, we’ll work with you to create a plan that’s tailored to your needs. It all starts with a comprehensive induction programme, run by experts from our business, to ensure you understand our advice proposition, advice guidance and point of sale systems. And should you wish to continue your professional studies we’ll support you.

Administrative and technical support

Our Adviser support service is there to assist you as you prepare for appointments and to help you update customers’ accounts. Our technical team can offer further support with more complex, high value or bespoke advice.

Discretionary annual bonus

You’ll be eligible for our Group Bonus Scheme, where payment of an annual bonus depends on your performance and the performance of the company.

Meet some of the team

Nicola Glass, Financial Adviser

I didn’t know a lot about [Employer hidden] at first, but soon found out they had a reputation as a good employer. There’s a very friendly, collaborative and open culture here, which makes you feel well supported. I’ve had lots of development opportunities to build my sales skills and there’s scope for me to grow both in my current role and across the business.

Everyone’s so accessible, right up to the senior management team. When I bumped into Graham Harvey, our Head of Financial Services, at an event, he remembered I’d recently bought a new house. Things like that really make you feel more than just a number.

Jack Mason-Brown, Financial Adviser

I started working in the post room at [Employer hidden] and then moved into the customer enquiries team. This not only developed my understanding of our products and processes, it also gave me the ambition to become a Financial Adviser. My next move was to become a Product Information Consultant (PIC) and from there I became an Adviser.

The company supported my ambitions all the way, enabling me to take the Financial Adviser diploma. That’s what I enjoy about working here - you're trusted to succeed, and given support when you need it. Everyone’s on the same page, so there’s always someone to talk to if you need help.
