We are recruiting an Interim Building Surveyor for a leading Social Housing provider based in Nottingham, supporting property services across the local region on a 6-month contract. As an Interim Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering a range of surveying services across housing stock, ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard, compliant with regulations, and fit for purpose. This is a great opportunity to join a busy, customer-focused organisation and make an immediate impact.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting property inspections, including condition surveys, defect diagnosis, and post-inspections
- Preparing specifications of work and managing contractors to deliver repairs and maintenance projects
- Overseeing disrepair cases, damp and mould issues, and void property works
- Ensuring all works are completed in line with compliance and health & safety standards
- Managing projects within occupied properties, ensuring minimal disruption to residents
- Liaising with tenants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure effective communication
- Monitoring budgets and ensuring cost-effective delivery of works
- Producing detailed reports and maintaining accurate records using internal systems
- Supporting the delivery of planned maintenance programmes
